Anticipation

Windows Frosted,
Nose pressed against the pains.
Ears perked,
Listening for the soft return.
Eyes ready,
Watching for footprints in the snow.
Brown fur,
Waiting for the loving pets.
Tail wagging,
Excitement waiting to explode.
Paws firm,
Ready to leap in return.
The ears hear,
The nose smells,
And the eyes see:
Soft footprints in the snow.
The fur feels,
And the tail wags:
Exploding excitement in loving pets.
The master has returned,
And the wait is over.
